Gordon B. Hinckley, prophet and president of the LDS church 1995-2008, was known for his focus on the youth of the church. He published numerous texts, many of which were based on public addresses he gave to the youth. Way to Be! was published in 2002 after Hinckley’s talk given in a youth fireside on November 12, 2000 that outlined six “beatitudes” about how youth should conduct their lives. Three more were added for the publication.
