A gift for my 12th birthday, Meeker was a black American Shorthair feline with a white patch on his tummy. Named after the Bobby’s World character Meeker, of Meeker and Snerd, Meeker was like the younger brother Puff never had. He was rough around the edges, vanished for months at a time, and sought out scuffles with neighboring kitties on a nightly basis, but always returned for a snuggle and a lick from Puff. Meeker’s fast living brought him an early end at age nine.
