Gospel in Action Award

The Gospel in Action Award program ran 1982-2020 for Mormon children under agetwelve in the Primary program. I was always a little ashamed that I never earned my Gospel in Action Award as a child. It’s perhaps the only “award” in the Church that I did not receive. One of the requirements was to memorize and recite all of the Articles of Faith, and memorization has never been my strong suit. I completed every other requirement, however (see below). Children are encouraged to make goals in personal, family, Church and community areas. The girls earn a pendant and the boys earn a lapel pin for completing the program.

If you search the web for “Gospel in Action Award” you will find scarce information, as the Church takes great care to scrub the web of out-of-date programming and policies. I’m fairly certain they pay Google quite a bit of money to maintain their image, too.
